About
Welcome!
I’m Erica. Thank you so much for stopping by! My hope is that what you read here will help you live a purposeful life.
I post about three times a week, covering marriage, motherhood, and home design—with an overarching focus on living intentionally. I often ask for your input, because I genuinely love hearing how you handle various situations and issues! So please do chime in!
Why Let Why Lead?
The name of my blog stems from a quote from Dieter F. Uchtdorf:
“While understanding the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of the gospel is necessary, the eternal fire and majesty of the gospel springs from the ‘why.’ Seek out the majesty, the beauty, and the exhilarating joy of the ‘why’ of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
No matter your faith, I believe that continually questioning your intentions—the whys—will help you create the life you envision.

Bio
I have two- and three-year-old boys and am happily married to my opposite in many ways. I’m an Arizona native now living in the San Francisco area. I love hearing about people’s lives and hope to someday resume writing and publishing personal histories. For now, a blog and a family (and a whole lot of housework) are more than enough. I graduated in journalism from Brigham Young University. I teach Christ-centered songs to kids every Sunday. I laugh at myself often. I’m shooting for authentic. But mostly, I am grateful for any time you spend at Let Why Lead. I hope you leave here more prepared to tackle your day than when you came!
