I’d been needing this kind of a weekend. I know it’s a bit late to be sharing these with you—it being a Tuesday and all. But at the moment, I’d rather just stare at the pictures and imagine I’m still there. :)
(Btw, in the photo above, that is Trenton’s bum in the distance. He’s bending down to pick up a cheeto bag someone had littered. Just a little reality for ya, amid all the prettiness. :)
Ryan’s brother and his girlfriend flew into town for the weekend. The boys mountain biked, the girls shopped, we hiked to the top of our own mountain and flew dueling kites. We talked till late, ate rice krispie treats, and got up good and early (because in an apartment with four adults and three kids, no one was sleeping in!). At one point, there was even a giant remote-controlled shark flying around.
It was perfection. It’s the one good thing about living away from family: when they come, time is like gold.
Now which of our family and friends can we recruit next?
