Yesterday was an off day. The boys bickered a lot more than normal. My older one (who rarely does this, on a regular day) kept intentionally provoking the younger one, and the younger one took the bait every time—screaming, pushing, or throwing himself on the floor in response. I was irritable in return, prompting Trenton to ask me multiple times, “Can you be happier?”
But before bed, we all apologized to each other and agreed to start fresh the next day. We asked in our prayer that Heavenly Father help us respect each other and help us create a peaceful home. Then I put them to bed and sat down to edit some photos. And these outtakes from yesterday’s impromptu photo shoot (in a moment when, conveniently, no one was screaming or slugging) reminded me why I’m so incredibly glad that I have them and even more glad that they have each other.
